Jenny Layne is the most generous person! When asked if she would donate her time in teaching some cake decorating at our hospital during our breast cancer event, she offered without hesitation. She did a fantastic job and the ladies in the audience just loved her! Thank you Jenny Layne for all you do for our community!!
Jenny is so so talented!!! She has an incredible reputation for a reason! Every vendor who heard she was doing our wedding cake was like “YES! She is the best!” Her cakes are huge, STUNNING, and absolutely delicious. She is so easy to work with and helped us create a totally unique wedding cake (with 4 tiers, each tier a different flavor) and cool silver foil accents to create a modern minimalist take on a wedding cake!! In our tasting/planning meeting she let us taste all of her flavors and fillings and create whatever combo we wanted. She really listened to what we were envisioning for the cake style and she totally NAILED it! I had never seen what I wanted before so I couldn’t’ just bring in a photo as an example, so I just had to describe it. She sketched a drawing right there and she totally got it!! Even better, our wedding cake tasted just as amazing as it looked – it was flavorful, moist, and so so delicious!!! The cake was delivered on time in flawless condition! She is a true professional and literally the best I have ever seen! She totally exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much Jenny!!!
My wife and I were planning our wedding. We were searching for someone that could put together the exact Cake my wife would never forget. Every bakery we spoke with acted afraid of that much fondant work. Jenny took the challenge, we weren't worried about the grooms cake. Jenny absolutely smashed it out of the park! Both Cakes were absolutely spectacular and were the talk of the reception! People had four different types of Cake on their plates and said they couldn't stop eating it. I have to personally admit, I didn't get any of the Red Velvet because it disappeared so quickly. I did however try all the other types and each one was amazing. I highly recommend Jenny Layne Bakery to everyone, thank you! Italian Cream, enough said!
You cannot go wrong with a cake from Jenny Layne Bakery for ANY occasion! There is a charge for tasting but it is well worth it. She sits down with you and provides large samples, unlike all the other cake tastings I encountered in DFW. If you know what you want, Jenny can make it happen. I went to the tasting with a general idea of what I wanted. Jenny listened to my likes and dislikes and created something entirely unique. She is a talented artist and can make ANY vision you might have come to life. My family loved our wedding cake so much, we’ve already used Jenny again for birthday parties and other events! Most importantly, her prices are really reasonable (especially for the quality of what you’re getting) and she will work with your budget to make it happen. My husband and I were prepared to scratch the groom cake in an effort to reduce costs, but Jenny made it possible for us to have the wedding AND groom cake within our budget. We are so glad we chose Jenny Layne Bakery for our wedding and will continue to use her for our party and bakery needs in the future!
